In a simple way you can take household measures yourself, we explain how to do it!
When taking action, do it at several points to get to know the interior spaces better. Take as a reference the narrowest space of the measurements, since in most cases the walls are irregular.
REMEMBER !!! To request a quote take measures from the home and make a PHOTOGRAPH, attach it in the form
Before requesting an estimate or placing an order you must make a series of measurements of your fireplace. This will give us a precise idea of the size of door required and allow us to produce a correspondingly accurate estimate. Remember that we make bespoke, made-to-measure doors, so the measuring process is extremely important in order to ensure that the door fits perfectly and will also make the installation process much easier.
We always provide an estimate that includes prices with and without a burner and ash pan. We can also make double-pane doors for larger fireplaces.
Width of the opening (A), Height of the opening (B), Depth (C), Width of the back (D)
Please note that the openings may not be completely straight or uniform. We will take care of applying the appropriate technical margins so that the door has the necessary tolerance for potential expansion due to temperature.
In that case, it is also important to measure considering the protruding areas. If you notice that the sides are not completely smooth, follow this procedure:
Support a straight element (such as a board or rigid cardboard) flush with the outside of the chimney, vertically, as if using a square.
Mark the vertical lines on the base on both sides. The distance between these two marks will be measure A1, corresponding to the useful frame opening.
Then measure the total space between the protruding stones (measure A2), which will help us calculate the necessary trims to cover those irregularities.
With these two measurements, we will manufacture a door that fits perfectly, along with trims to cover any aesthetic imperfections.
IMPORTANT: In chimneys with irregular stones, it is essential to record the measurements accurately. It is not necessary to send photographs of the tape measure or ruler marking the measurement, as they may lead to misinterpretation.
DO NOT SEND PHOTOS OF THE MEASURE, SEND THE WRITTEN MEASUREMENTS
