The difference between a bespoke door and inserts or cassettes for fireplaces<\/h2>\n

The difference between a bespoke door and an insert or cassette is that the latter come ready-made and are intended for a fireplace to be built around them. When an insert or cassette is installed in an existing fireplace, it is necessary to break the hood in order to insert the pipework leading up to the roof; moreover, it is always necessary to install an insert that is smaller than the existing space, and then carry out filling-in work afterwards.<\/p>\n

However, a bespoke door can be made to fit the measurements of an existing fireplace, meaning\u00a0no structural work is necessary and installation is easy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Characteristics of our bespoke doors<\/h2>\n

Our bespoke doors make it possible to\u00a0regulate the inflow of air<\/strong>, thereby ensuring that much of the heat stays within the room, rather than being lost up the flue. The \u201cfunnelling\u201d effect of open fires means that, although we feel warm when we are next to the fire due to the heat radiated from the flames, the hot air emerging from the fireplace is replaced by air that is drawn into the room via the joins around the windows and doors. For this reason, when the fire is on and we move away from it, we feel significantly colder near windows and doors. However, by regulating the inflow of air we are able to supply the fire with just the right amount of oxygen for the type of combustion we require, and we immediately receive the radiation from the fire thanks to the\u00a0vitro-ceramic plate<\/strong>, which can withstand temperatures of up to 760\u00baC. This allows us to\u00a0save firewood<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0keep the room at a consistent temperature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The\u00a0energy savings<\/strong>\u00a0are considerable, due to the fact that cool air no longer enters via the window and door joins and the fact that up to three or four times less firewood is consumed.<\/p>\n

This system also prevents smoke from entering the room and is\u00a0much safer for children<\/strong>, given that hot coals cannot fall out of the grate and set fire to the carpet, flooring or nearby furniture or curtains. This also prevents the room from becoming dirty and smoky, helping you to keep it\u00a0cleaner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Installation<\/h2>\n

Installation is very simple<\/strong><\/a>, A series of screws are affixed inside the fireplace and fireproof putty is applied around the edge of the frame. Diferencias entre puerta a medida y un insert o cassette para chimeneas<\/h2>\n

La diferencia entre una puerta a medida y un insert o cassette es que este ya viene fabricado y est\u00e1 pensado para construir la chimenea alrededor suyo. Cuando se ha de poner en una chimenea ya construida, debemos romper la campana para poder meter el tubo que va al techo y poner siempre un insert m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o que el hueco existente, para despu\u00e9s hacerle un remiendo alrededor.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, la puerta fabricada a medida se puede hacer ci\u00f1\u00e9ndose a las medidas de una chimenea ya construida, por lo que no hay obras y es de f\u00e1cil instalaci\u00f3n<\/strong>.

Caracter\u00edsticas de nuestras puertas a medida<\/h2>\n

Con nuestras puertas a medida se puede regular la entrada de aire<\/strong>,\u00a0 impidiendo de esta manera la p\u00e9rdida masiva de aire caliente de la estancia a trav\u00e9s del conducto de la chimenea. Este efecto embudo que tienen las chimeneas de combusti\u00f3n abierta, hace sentir calor junto al fuego por la radiaci\u00f3n que este desprende, pero el aire caliente que sale por la chimenea es remplazado por otro que entra por las juntas de puertas y ventanas.\u00a0 Por eso cuando est\u00e1 el fuego encendido y nos alejamos de este sentimos bastante m\u00e1s frio junto a puertas y ventanas. Al regular la entrada de aire conseguimos aportar al fuego la cantidad justa de ox\u00edgeno para el tipo de combusti\u00f3n que deseamos y seguimos recibiendo la radiaci\u00f3n de fuego a trav\u00e9s del vidrio vitrocer\u00e1mico, <\/strong>que soporta hasta 760\u00ba.\u00a0Con ello ahorramos le\u00f1a <\/strong>y\u00a0la estancia est\u00e1 a la misma temperatura<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

El ahorro energ\u00e9tico<\/strong> es considerable, tanto por el aire de la calle que deja de colarse por las ranuras de puertas y ventanas, c\u00f3mo por el consumo de le\u00f1a que puede ser tres o cuatro veces menor.<\/p>\n
